Andrew Connorton
VP, Programming + Design
Aparium Hotel Group
“Each Aparium property is purposefully unique for a reason. We aren’t trying to capture one single time period. We take the history of a property, add a touch of modernity and create a timeless product.”
As the Vice President of Programming and Design, Andrew Connorton acts as the person-behind-the-curtain responsible for bringing the quintessential, hyperlocal atmosphere to each property in Aparium’s portfolio. He has made it his goal to connect each property to not only guests, but the local community using unique and innovative design techniques that some may deem an architectural rarity.
Taking what he learned from his studies at University of Louisiana at Lafayette and State University of New York at Buffalo, coupled with the 12 years of field experience managing projects for the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers, MGM Resorts International and various higher education institutions, Connorton conceptualizes design with careful consideration. With each property, he abandons stylistic, cookie-cutter trends that come at the expense of the location’s history. Preserving what comprises each building’s personality, Connorton weaves in modern elements that compliment pre-existing features to create a one-of-a-kind appearance that is never meant to be replicated.
