Engaging, forward-thinking, and deeply attuned to the hospitality market, Emily Marshall, IIDA, NCIDQ, brings an elegant, modern perspective to her role as Principal and Interior Design Director at HBG Design. With a particular focus on upper upscale branded and casino resort hotel designs, she leads the firm’s interior design studio in creating richly layered environments that connect guests to a compelling story through thoughtful details, memorable experiences, and distinctive touches of luxury. During her 16-year tenure at HBG Design, Emily has helped transform and expand the firm’s interior design practice. Her recent work includes serving as interior design leader for the Gun Lake Casino Resort’s new Four Diamond designated hotel tower, outside Grand Rapids, Michigan, and design projects for Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas, The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, WinStar World Casino Resort in the North Texas metro market, and Cache Creek Casino Resort in the greater Sacramento and Bay Area markets. She also led the interior design direction for the Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, recognized as Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s 2021 Best New Property—Full Service. Emily was named to Boutique Design’s 2019 BD18 class and GGB Magazine’s 2018 “Emerging Leaders of Gaming Top 40 Under 40.” She began her career with Wilson Associates, contributing to high-profile international resort projects, including Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai.
